  26. First you have to say what kind of computer you have, what operating
  27. system, which Kermit program, and which version.  But in general, the
  28. safest bet is to tell BOTH Kermit programs to "set file type binary".

  36. Which documentation are you referring to?  The two most popular Kermit
  37. programs, MS-DOS Kermit and C-Kermit, each have excellent, professionally
  38. published manuals that are no more technical than you need them to be.
  39. They start out in tutorial fashion geared to novices, and work up to
  40. advanced stuff for those who need it.  You can find out about the manuals
  41. by pointing your Web browser at http://www.columbia.edu/kermit/, or by
  42. sending an email inquiry to kermit@columbia.edu.
